From a passionate belief that people have the ability to heal their lives from the painful effects of alcoholism and addictions, as well as stress, anxiety and depression, Dr. McBride has created a dynamic and effective approach to treatment and recovery. She has combined the wisdom of the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous with powerful, complementary mind-body methods that address all areas of a person’s life. She has effectively combined traditional western methods of treatment with powerful eastern philosophies that are effective, empowering and enjoyable. As the owner and clinical director of A New Approach Counseling Services in Houston, Texas, Dr. McBride has worked with recovering people in all phases of treatment. She is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and holds a PhD from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. With deep insight into the spiritual aspects of personal growth and emotional healing, it is her heartfelt desire to offer hope and compassion to struggling addicts and their loved ones, and to teach people that they can indeed, heal their lives. Dr. McBride is a member of The Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, The American Alternative Medical Association and The American Holistic Medical Association.
